Last night I watched a bit on TV about FDR’s CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) which provided jobs for men that were out of work – a service to farmers across rural areas, and preservation of our land’s natural beauty, and even a way to appreciate it in the case of cutting trails through new National Forrest areas.
The more I learn about FDR the more I like the way he thinks. I am going to hunt for a good biography on him, but email me if you have any suggestions! Maybe this even calls for another visit to the research library at the Explorer’s club. I know they have some of his personal slides and perhaps journals as well.
