En route to a regular meet-up spot – I’ve taken a few taxis along the BQE near the down town projects. Every time I’d passed the Brooklyn Navy Yard I would wonder what the large turn-of-the-century run-down residences had once been.
A few times I had asked cab drivers and friends what the buildings were, but no one knew… I thought this was so odd! Surely they must have some significance? Particularly once I noted the large GOVERNMENT PROPERTY KEEP OUT signs.
It turns out they are a part of the Yard, known as the Admiral’s Row. According to a recent article in the times it isn’t looking good for the presurvation of these buildings. I just thought you should know.
