Our first visit to NAMoC was to see the 90 year anniversary show of The (communist) Party. It was more of an homage than a historical/curatorial overview. Some of the paintings were newly crafted to represent events in the style that was popular around the date of which the event occurred. Obviously there were some really interesting things going on with how this show was constructed.

NAMoC is a Government-run entity, and “curating” is not at-all what we would think of in “The West” (aka pretty much anywhere outside main-land China).
